Right, this is the remake of the Darkest Dream game on SPP forums, which got closed for some absurd reason what have you. So here we go!!!
Here's a link to the old thread: www.serebiiforums.com/showthread.php?t=436749
The story of the game takes place about a hundred years after Humans have completely died out, leaving the world with the Pokemon. They've, since then, created their own society of peace and happiness. The world isn't perfect though, the pollution of mankind gave way to many natural and unnatural disasters, and as a result, many Pokemon have gone aggressive and even savage. Some Pokemon, known as Contractors, can, for a price, rescue and help other Pokémon. For the right price, they will do whatever is requested of them, and they travel the world to maintain the peace. Their base: Coral City, a final bastion of wealth and power. Here lives the King, and the only civilization to completely rebuild. It is here the story starts.
The players are Contractors, working for the city, searching for relics of their lost civilization before human rule. They live in the city, and help the community around it as well. They go about their business, while unnoticed, things that have been sleeping since before time began have once again begun to awaken...
Coral City and outskirts.
Coral City.
Coral City is one of three military cities. It's built around a Bay, called Claw bay, due to the fact that the stretches of land seem to push out to look like a claw, it is both an economical hot spot and a defensive stronghold. Here is a list of the important places in the City.
The Castles.
If the People of the city are in danger, then the Castles provides safety and shelter for them. They are nine castles positioned strategically around the City. They are smaller Forts aswell as several Bunkers and Towers. On festive nights, the King offers a majestic banquet inside the Castles for his people in these special occasions. The Streets and Districts around the Castles are usually full of Luxury Restaurants, banks, Casinos and Five Star Hotels.
The Isles.
Inside Coral Bay are Nine isles linked to the mainland and to themselves through a network of Bridges, that are dotted around the Bay, each one has a name and purpose:
*Red Isle, Blue Ilse and Yellow Isle each serve as Residential Islands, with a Café on Red Isle, a Hotel on Blue Isle and a Defense Tower/Lighthouse on Yellow Isle.
*Silver Isle and Bronze Isle are both on the edge of the Bay, and are linked together By a Marine Gate, to let in and out passing boats, and linked to the Mainland by Walls built into the Sea. These Isles are the only entrance to the City by the Sea.
*Very few know what happens on Green Ilse, it is forbidden to the Public. But rumor has it that the King has a team of scientist that conduct strange Experiments, another says that the isle is home to the guardian of the City.
*Gold Isle the King's special mansion, equipped with Swimming pool, jacuzzi, you name it. And every Saturday, he invites one member of the public to dine with him and spend the night in his Mansion.
*The Combat Ilse is where one would find all equipment for keeping in shape, because an out-of-shape Contractor is less employed. On Combat Isle, you can find almost anything, from Ping-Pong Rooms to Olympic Swimming Pools, it has anything. Just be careful with that Sword...
*The Market Isle is where all is happening, the streets are full of Market Stalls, Shops and Cafés, the Market Isle is where one would go if they were to look for help. A contractor would be able to buy all his traveling needs at the Market Ilse, this Isle is the most popular of Isles, which is why people do not hesitate to go there an Instant.
Sento ,Kiroto and Fenhueng, the Schools of Contraction.
These Three Schools teach one to become a Contractor, each school comes in an order:
*Sento is the Combat school, where a citizen will first learn how to fight, it is the first of the Three Contractor School. Upon graduation, they will become Warriors and train at Fenghueng school.
*Fenhueng, on the other hand, is the Survival school, where a warrior will become a Contractor. Upon graduation, they will become Explorers or Contracters. Then they can go to Kiroto if they wish.
*The marine fighting school of Kiroto is Bigger than the Castle itself, because it his home to the finest warriors in the City. Kiroto is where a Contractor will learn to travel, survive in extreme conditions, master all arts of Combat, and learn how to read people. He will also learn to sail, to ride and, strangely, to seduce. Upon graduation, a Kiroto Contractor will become a Master Contractor.
The Coral Flower.
The most popular Café in Coral City, the Coral Flower is actually run by a four year-old. It's the main meeting place of Contractors, who go there to chat, eat, and generally have a good time. Despite it's Popularity, it isn't found on Market Isle, it is actually in the Mainland, right next to the Pier.
The Pier.
The Pier, the long Bridge leading nowhere, gives a great view of the bay, it has been voted most Romantic spot in the City nine times in a row. People going by will most surely see at least one couple gazing at the Glistening Blue Ocean, of maybe the Clear blue Sky, or the amazing Sunset, or maybe just the Shining stars and the Moon's Reflection, just a few examples of the Pier's amazing beauty.
The Marketplace.
The Hot spot of Market Isle, the Marketplace is known for it's constant fizzy atmosphere, animated by the daily Market at day and by the Cafés general friendliness at night. The Marketplace is home to three famous buildings.
*The Drill Bank. is a gigantic Storage of all the Bank accounts in Coral City, in the Basement of the Bank is a Drill Elevator that leads to an underground network of vaults, each vault equals the account of one family. This Drillevator is indestructible and can only be used by He Who Has The Key.
* The Ancient Shrine is the Local Library. If you are looking for a book, almost any book, they'll have it. It's the best place to find out about myths and legends, or simply what happens to the Smurfs this time.
*The Help Board is a small building where people in need of help send their request, it is where Contractors will go when they are ready for a Mission.
City Walls.
The Walls around Coral City are Enormous. They encircle the whole City, going even into the Sea to keep Coral City Safe. These Concrete Walls are 6 Metres Thick, 150 Feet (45.7 Metres) high, and are guaranteed to keep attackers at bay. The Walls are Separated by Massive Towers that act as Lookouts aswell as Gates out of the City. The Towers give a brilliant view of the City, but are nowhere as Popular as the Pier.
City Outskirts.
The Outside of the City is equally beautiful if you look close enough.
Here is a list of the Important places in the Outskirts of the City.
Sunset Beach.
Sunset Beach is a Beautiful sandy beach where the peaceful come to Meditate. It has been told that The setting of the sun on the Beach will take you to a rising mountain.
Seaside Grove.
Little is known about the Seaside Grove, because the King forbids the citizens of the City to go inside. But rumor has it that there is great treasure inside the Forest, yet another states that there is a dangerous forest guardian lurking inside.
Elmeera.
On the other side of Seaside Grove is small town known as Emeera. This Town is known for it's Hospitality (and it's Hospital) Yet lately the town has been acting strange since their new leader was elected...
Entide.
The little village of Entide is not far from Coral City, it is quiet and Peaceful, collecting small objects after the tide rolls in, their Leader, Mayor of Entide's knowledge extends further than the more than average contractor.
Lair Ruins.
In the First Darkest Dream, the Criminal Mastermind Ninetales had a lair here, the people of Coral City then Came and Destroyed it. What is left is but Ruins. But one day this place may be Useful.
Other Locations.
These Locations are known to the people of Coral City, but are too far to access them. The quickest way to get there is to teleport.
Newport.
This growing city is slowly rivaling Coral City: It too has a military wall, and it's also a Marine city. It has several tourist attractions, such as boat trips to the Eye, and the Friday night carnival, Newport is Home to Master Lucario, founder of the Contraction schools.
The Eye.
An enormous Maelstrom just off the coast of Newport, the Eye is a valuable tourist attraction for Newport, but who knows how long this Whirlpool has lasted, and what is in the Eye of the Eye? Only time will tell.
Mount Glory.
In the mountain range of Infernia lies Mt. Glory. A vast Mountain with a crystal clear lake at the Summit. The Beauty of this mountain's summit alone is a reward for climbing it, so every year, Mount Glory has an climbing tournament. The lake at the summit is called Brainfreeze Lake, despite it being an average temperature.
Town of Gloria.
About halfway through the climb of Mount Glory, you should find the town of Gloria. This Quiet and Peaceful Town is also home to few contractors, but wise and powerful ones. the Glorians, as they are called, scale Mount Glory for training. This Town is Home to Satosishosimo, the Great Dojo, a place that makes Kiroto look like Pre-school.
Mount Destiny.
Mount Destiny is the tallest Mountain in Pokéarth. It is said to hold the greatest of secrets at the summit. However, Sir Heston Gravel, the world's greatest climber, described this mountain as "Unclimbable".
Emerald City.
This is the third of the developed cites, Emerald City is built atop a small mountain close to Mt. Destiny. This city is heated by the hot air exuded by the Magma Caverns through a Hypocaust system, which means no money goes to Central Heating, Emerald City, unlike Newport or Coral City, doesn't have a wall and isn't a military city. Emerald City is home to the ancient Seven, a group of old and Wise folk that often argue with each other.
Character Sheet.
You can have up to four characters. Characters can interact with each other, obviously, and I'll even let you start romances and marriage and all that romantic stuff so long as both sides agree to it. You CAN have children, which can be controlled by both players (they count as a character for both parties though, so be careful that you don't go over the limit), but keep the scene as PG-13 or below as you can. I put up the warning in the title for a reason. (For previous users, you can keep the Characters from the last game AND have an additional four characters (ie: If you controlled 3 characters in last game, then you can have 3+4 characters))
Here's the Sheet
Name: Obvious
Species: You know what that is, right? Also, the only Legendary Pokemon allowed are: Mew,Celebi, Latias, Latios, Heatran, Manaphy, Phione, and Shaymin.
Description: Describe your Character. Maybe a sprite will be made.
Gender: Please either male or female...no "no gender" even if that Pokemon doesn't usually have one
Age: Let it make sense
Personality: Be as creative as you want. i want at least two sentences of detail but something simple will be fine too.
Job: Obviously, they're Contractors, everyone in Coral City is, even the kids are training to be those, but you all have unique talents aside from that.
Other: ? ? ?
It's a city, and a city full of Contractors can't exactly make money just off of that. You'll need another job.
You can request another job, and so long as its within reason I'll let you join and put the job up.
If you want to be co-owner, please PM me, and I'll see whether or not you're responsible enough for the job. Co-owners can do everything the owner can, but the owner (e.i. me) can override their decisions.
Also, if you'd like to submit a plot, PM mje for approval first, mmmkay?
1.) No spamming. If you wish to make an out of character comment, I won't stop you, but if the conversation OOC gets out of line, it will be a strike...
2.) Don't bunny. Your characters are your own, and no one else has the right to take them. Likewise, you shouldn't take other people's characters.
3.) Flaming and Trolling are, obviously, not going to be even remotely tolerated. I'm fine with some light cursing, but keep it PG-13, and don't intentionally attack people, in or out of character. Also, this is a freaking Pokemon website for goodness sake's, so no racial slurs or stereotypes like that. You people are better than that, there's no need to sink that low.
4.) Don't be uber. The amazing ability to teleport, or be able to beat or eat bosses single-handedly just don't make for a fun game. if someone is being uber...kindly tell them to stop. if not, either I or one of the co-owners will step in and make their posts null-and-void. For convenience sake, if they keep it up and no one's around to penalty them, ignore them.
5.) Please write legably. Make it plain and simple if your character is talking, like [INSERT SPRITE HERE] something something...and if they're doing something, put ** around the action.
Example: [INSERT SPRITE HERE]*looking around*: Where's the lighthouse?
6.) All social rules (No swearing, ect) apply. I don't want this thread closed of unruly behaviour please -_-
7.) It may take some time before your character sprite appears, should we decide to do them (they might take too much time), in the meantime, use your character's name, like NICK: I like cookies.
8.) Have fun!
The loved Grovyle known as Rift fell into a eternal sleep, to be awoken only by doing the Evil Dakrai's bidding: Snatching the Talisman on the Pokémon Cresselia's Neck. However, our heroes could not, but the Talisman was stolen by Darkrai's minion. Then Cresselia sent our Heroes to the Titan's Tombs, a dark and Mysterious Place guarded by the Unown. It was here Darkrai used the Talisman to release the Shadow Titan known as Shadow Lugia, a beast capable of ripping the World apart. But with help from the Unown and our Heroes unmeasurable Courage, the Shadow Titan was defeated and Rift awakened. But they are other Shadow Titans. Darkrai managed to steal four more Talismans using his army of Minions, commanded by the Cunning Regi-ment. What will our Heroes face next now that Darkrai is in possession of the Talismans?
